Paid placements aren’t a shortcut to AI search

Sponsored features are useful for reach, trust badges and referral traffic. Muck Rack’s 2026 research found paid and advertorial content makes up just 0.3% of AI citations. When AI visibility is the goal, we move budget toward earned coverage.

How we choose a publication

Traffic alone never decides it.

Before we propose a placement we check who reads it, whether they match your buyers, how credible it is in your field, what sits next to your brand on the page, and whether it moves your business goal.

If a publication fails any of those, we say no, even when it would make a report look bigger.

FAQ

Media Placement: common questions

Can you get us featured in Forbes?

Forbes runs editorial coverage, contributor columns and paid BrandVoice programmes. We’ll tell you which route is realistic for your story and budget, and we won’t sell a contributor post as editorial.

Are guaranteed media placements legitimate?

A guaranteed placement is almost always paid or syndicated. That can still be useful, but it should be labelled and priced as what it is.

What's the difference between sponsored content and earned media?

You pay for sponsored content, so you control the message. Earned media is written by a journalist who chose to cover you, so it carries more trust.

Do sponsored articles help SEO?

Most carry nofollow or sponsored link tags, as Google requires. Their value is audience reach and credibility, not link equity.
