LegalPublication andplacement policy
How placements work, what publishers control, what we’re responsible for, and our 30-day replacement promise on paid placements.
About this policy
This policy explains how Sentinel Outreach Agency (“Sentinel”, “we”, “us”) handles media placements: editorial coverage we pitch for, contributed articles, sponsored features and press release distribution. It sits alongside our Terms of Service. Where a signed client agreement says something different, the agreement takes priority.
Publishers make their own decisions
Every publication we work with is independent. Editors and publishers decide what they run, when they run it and how it reads. They can edit copy, change headlines or images, add their own labels, move a story to a different URL, put it behind a paywall or remove it at any time.
We can’t control those decisions, and we’re not responsible for them. That includes removals, edits, URL changes, paywalls, links marked nofollow or sponsored, a page dropping out of search results, or a publication closing down.
What we don’t guarantee
- Coverage in any specific outlet, unless it’s a confirmed paid placement
- That a placement stays online for any set period, except under the replacement promise below
- Search rankings, traffic, backlinks of a particular type, or mentions in AI assistants
- Any specific business result from a placement
Paid placements are always labelled
Sponsored features, paid articles and press release distribution are labelled the way each publisher’s policy and the advertising rules require, for example “Sponsored”, “Partner content” or “Press release”. We never present paid work as editorial coverage, and every item in your coverage log is marked earned, placed or paid.
Our 30-day replacement promise
If a paid placement we arranged is removed by the publisher within 30 days of going live, we’ll replace it once, at no extra cost, with a placement of comparable standing. Comparable means a similar audience, authority and format. We’ll agree the replacement outlet with you.
The promise doesn’t apply when:
- the content was removed at your request, or because you changed or withdrew approval
- the removal was caused by content, claims, links or images you supplied that broke the publisher’s rules or the law
- the publication itself closed down or stopped publishing (we’ll still help you find an alternative)
- the issue is a change the publisher made without removing the piece, such as an edit, a new URL, a paywall or a link attribute
- you tell us about the removal more than 14 days after the end of the 30-day window
Editorial coverage that a journalist chose to run isn’t paid for, so the replacement promise doesn’t cover it.
Your responsibilities as a client
You’re responsible for the accuracy and legality of everything you give us to publish: facts, figures, claims, quotes, images, links and product information. That includes having the rights to any material you supply and the approvals any regulator requires in your industry.
We may decline, edit or withdraw content that we believe is unlawful, misleading, defamatory or against a publisher’s rules. Regulated sectors such as finance, crypto, health and legal services can face extra publisher restrictions, and some outlets won’t accept them at all.
Third-party actions
Sentinel isn’t liable for the actions, decisions or omissions of publishers, platforms, distribution networks, search engines, AI systems or any other third party. That includes how they treat, display, rank or remove published content, and any claim that arises from content you supplied.
Publication names and trademarks
Publication names mentioned on this site, including in our media directory, are listed for information only. They’re the trademarks of their owners. Listing an outlet doesn’t mean we’re affiliated with it, that it endorses us, or that we’ve placed work there. Where we show outlets our clients have appeared in, we say whether each appearance was earned, placed or paid.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page with its “last updated” date. Placements already live are covered by the version in force when they went live.
Governing law and contact
This policy is governed by the laws of Pakistan. Questions about a placement or this policy: outreach@sentineloutreach.agency.
